so early that we literally had to duck for cover during hitting practice! But the boys brought their gloves in case any were headed directly at us. It was fun until I thought PJ was going to break his neck - - he practically hurdled three bleachers to try and catch a ball that was hit a whole section away.
The bleachers were a fun place to sit - - the boys learned "the bum" chant and fortunately, don't know expletives to have been alarmed by them when the crowd forgot it was a family affair.
The boys knew the players . . . Buster Posey, a rookie sensation, is a favorite.
My boys are a lot like their father in a lot of ways . . . traits I hope they inherit from him: the ability to always see the glass as half full, the guts to take advantage of lifetime opportunities and the amazing ability to be a family man first through it all.
