Jake was so excited about this Christmas Performance and to have an opportunity to be in a show. He even picked out what he wanted to wear . . . well, he wanted to wear a suit that fit him last year so I had to talk him off a ledge and promise to get him one that fit. I must say - he looks pretty darn cute in it.
Grandma, Poppy and Aunt Marcy were kind enough to join us in the crowded chapel full of holiday crazed families that were trying to get the best view of the precious preschoolers. Aunt Marcy even went so far as to be gracious enough to keep Jake and get him dressed while we saved seats. I think she's glad that she only had to do one set of dress-shirt buttons and that PJ kindly agreed to wear a sweater and jeans.
Look at the pleasure in his eyes when he finally makes eye contact with the family while he's on stage.
As promised, he sang and clapped his little heart out!
Getting a cookie afterwards wasn't the only bonus . . .
The kids were lucky to have an old-fashioned fire truck covered with Christmas decorations come to their school. And much to their delight, they were able to climb and play in it!!
He spent most of his playtime in there and so he wasn't too disappointed when he had to climb out. PS - I wasn't allowed to help in or out of the firetruck. : (
