More about the magic number 3

My sister-in-law has three kids, too - all boys!  We're lucky to have them visiting us right now.  Her three get along with our three fabulously!

But not all is easy with the number 3 - Jake is still 3 years old.  When his cousins arrived, he was a little overexcited and I had to punish him for slugging his brother for no apparent reason.  I usually give him a warning of a count to 3.  For PJ, (and I'm told the same holds true for Tori), we never had to get past "2."  When I asked Jake to apologize to his brother, he gave me an indignant "no!"  So, I gave him a chance and said "1 . . . 2 . . . "  He looked at me straight in the eye and shouted "3!"  Like, "now what?!"  Ugh -  hopefully 4 gets here soon.
