PJ's Belt "Commotion"

At least that's what Jake thinks belt promotion for their martial arts class is called.  He has a few months before he has to get it right.  

In the mean time, he sat patiently and watched PJ get promoted again, but this time in his own white belt {pictures of Jake in class will be posted soon}.

He watched PJ's belt go from red to brown:

I find it amusing that the instructors make the old belt into some sort of a necktie before putting the brown belt on them.

He's been waiting a week for this belt - the sweet boy chose to go to Jake's Open House in lieu of his own belt promotion (I already promised to help with Benicia High School's Grad Night and Dad couldn't be two places at once).

  

And now he'll be in a brown belt for a looooong time!

He got home and immediately wanted his red belt on display with the others he's earned in the last two years.
