See Ya' San Diego

I feel badly for not posting for awhile . . . is that normal to carry that kind of guilt as a blogger?  I realize that posts are supposed to be current/in the moment - this one isn't.  Blogs are supposed to be positive - at least the ones I follow and the ones I am inspired by are - so I won't complain about unpacking.  Are pictures too big?  I suspect that I am too wordy.  If you are aware of any blog etiquette, please share it with me!

We spent our last full day in San Diego at Seaport Village - a touristy area that was right outside the hotel where Peter had his conference.

The boys were enamored with this Mama Duck and her babies.  I feel a lot like her sometimes - once you get one baby going one direction, the other one goes the other way!

Peter was fascinated with this street entertainer that could balance rocks.  It's not Stonehenge or anything, but I guess pretty impressive.

I almost forgot - PJ begged us daily for a ride on one of this Pedicabs.  Peter finally caved.

I was worried that it wouldn't fit all four of us - they will both be in a for a surprise when they see how many generations of families they can fit on a pedicab in the Philippines.

We even went on one of those boat/bus deals to tour the San Diego Harbor.

Jake thought the sea lions were interesting, but his favorite part of the journey was spotting his Dad on the street and shouting to him at the top of his lungs (it was Peter's favorite part, too).

The last time we did this, PJ thought it would be cool to be a Navy dolphin trainer.  I thought so too.  But when I saw a boat that did something similar with the sea lions, something didn't feel quite right.

And then my attention was diverted to my dream house . . . Peter and I could seriously picture ourselves retiring here (in San Diego, but this house wouldn't be a bad gig either).

Finally, the boys were happy to spend some time with Dad and they made a return visit to the Midway.
